It’s a treat to come across a restaurant whose owners are passionate about their cuisine and so proud of their history and culture that it resonates from the pores of it’s being. The aromas fill the room, and their enthusiasm and sophistication are evident. The Bangkok Blue restaurant is located in La Verne and is tucked away into a large shopping center.  Owner Blue Johnson, a veteran of the music business for over 30 years, (pictures are displayed on his wall of fame) and his lovely wife Joyce have done a wonderful job at creating a relaxing yet elegant dining room complete with beautiful Thai statues, and a nice array of other reminders of Thailand hardwood floors, wood paneling with soft cream walls, subtle touches of black and gold, the serenity of waterfalls, sculptures and fresh foliage are featured amongst soft jazz and blues. The menu is a collaboration of traditional Thai dishes as well as some unique and tempting original creations.
